Gary Loverich
Chairman, Senior Ocean Engineer
Gary provides senior leadership and vision to OceanSpar’s product design and engineering team. Prior to founding OceanSpar, Gary was the Founder and President of NET Systems, where he was an innovator in designing and constructing commercial fishing gear. Gary holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Washington and did graduate studies in Ocean Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Washington.
Todd Madsen
President and CEO
Todd oversees OceanSpar’s corporate operations and partnerships, working closely with the Board of Directors and management team to set the Company’s business strategy. Prior to OceanSpar, Todd was the Founder, President and CEO of ClaimIQ, an insurance-related software and services firm, and a Principal at Mercer Management Consulting. Todd holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Computer Science from Illinois State University.
Langley Gace
Chief Operating Officer
Langley manages OceanSpar’s sales and engineering activities, and has been a key contributor to the evolution of OceanSpar fish pen designs. Prior to OceanSpar, Langley was a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire, where his research on scale model submersible fish pens was a catalyst for the open ocean aquaculture program there. Langley holds a B.S. in Physics from Bates College and a M.S. in Ocean Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Tim Gregg
Field Operations Manager
Tim manages OceanSpar’s field operations, working on-site with clients to ensure the safe and efficient installation of OceanSpar equipment. He has hundreds of hours of warm and cold water dive time worldwide, and he has experience assembling and managing high performance dive teams for client projects. Tim also manages OceanSpar’s materials and equipment procurement, and the logistics associated with large multi-pen installations.
Ryan Freke
Ocean Engineer
Ryan is responsible for product development at OceanSpar, using traditional engineering practices and advanced Finite Element Analysis to advance the design of OceanSpar products. He also provides engineering oversight on production and fabrication efforts. Prior to OceanSpar, Ryan served in the United States Coast Guard and worked as a design engineer for the U.S. Navy. Ryan holds a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
