OceanSpar’s installation and maintenance services include fish pen and mooring system deployment, operating equipment setup and training, and periodic inspection and maintenance. We make sure that OceanSpar equipment is deployed safely and securely, and that the offshore team is properly trained in its use and ongoing maintenance.

Mooring System Deployment

Our services team develops a custom installation plan for each unique mooring solution prior to moving equipment offshore. This plan includes a detailed line and rigging schematic, an anchor location and tension matrix, and a detailed deployment sequence. Once offshore, our team is available to support underwater or surface activities through dive team supervision, GPS-based anchor placement adjustments, and general manpower needs.

Fish Pen Assembly and Deployment

Our services team is available to support or supervise shore-based assembly activities for fish pens such as welding and quality control checks. We also provide on-the-water assistance for fish pen deployment, including dive team supervision and guidance, and general manpower needs.

Inspection & Maintenance

Regular inspection and maintenance is critical to achieving the long service life built into OceanSpar’s fish pens and rigging specifications. Our services team designs tailored inspection and maintenance programs covering mooring lines, connection points, netting and equipment assemblies. Testing services include break strength and abrasion analysis for nets and rigging, and fatigue service life assessment for parts, assemblies and attachments.

Our Field Operations Team has successfully deployed over 30 fish pens and mooring systems around the world in warm and cold water sites. Our on-staff and network of professional divers have over 50 years of cumulative commercial diving and marine construction experience. Our team works closely with our client’s offshore team to ensure safety and knowledge transfer.
